High School Students are normally riding buses to school, but Saturday they were trying to stuff a bus for a food drive. Mishawaka High School Students stood outside the Kroger on Merrifield asking shoppers for donations of non perishable food. Their goal was to collect $5,000 and fill the bus with so much food there was no room left. Mishawaka High School Senior Rosie Lindley said, "we're just trying to make sure every family has enough food to get through the holiday season and so they can have a blessed holiday."
For over 30 years the School City of Mishawaka has held a holiday food drive. But his was the first time they filled a bus with food as part of the drive.
