Looks like it's finally cold enough for some ice skating. The Howard Park Ice Rink is now back up and running after having to shut down last week because it was too warm and all the ice was lost. They had to re make the ice rink a second time. Ice Rink Manager, Melanie Trowbridge said that, "takes about 50 times of taking the zamboni out there full of water and emptying it and letting it freeze and going out again til there's a half inch to 3/4 inch of ice."
After all that work she's happy that people are able to skate again and hope words spreads quickly so even more skaters show up. "It's nice it's kinda boring around here with no people so it's nice to get us back up and running," said Trowbridge.
The ice rink is open just in time for skating with Santa. That will take place Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
