Up until September things were looking bleak for the RV Hall of Fame in Elkhart. It was looking at millions of dollars in debt. But thanks to a new business plan the Hall got a new lease on life and for now the building is in the City with a Heart to stay.
"We've gone to a positive cash flow and we have a lot of support for people in the industry," President Darryl Searer told FOX 28's Amanda Johnson in September.
But now the RV Hall of Fame has a new look. It's being re-branded as the Northern Indiana Event Center. And according to a press release, Searer is looking to make it Michiana's premiere event venue.
On Thursday the Northern Indiana Event Center will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate its new future. The complex will be open from 5 to 7 p.m. and people in the community are invited to be a part of it.
After the ribbon is cut guests will be invited in for a light reception including hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar and a champagne toast. People who might want to plan an upcoming event will be able to take a tour of the complex.
The Northern Indiana Event Center is located at 21565 Executive Parkway in Elkhart.
