If you drive through northern Elkhart there's a construction project you're going to want to be aware of happening on State Road 19 (Cassopolis Street).
Crews were called in for emergency sewer work in the area on Thursday. That means traffic is going to be down to one lane in each direction between Sunset Avenue and Modrell Avenue just north of Bristol Street.
Expect traffic delays throughout the day. If you'd like to avoid the project all together, an alternative route would be to take Woodlawn Avenue to Johnson Street to Bristol Street from the north and Bristol Street to Johnson Street to Woodlawn Avenue from the south.
