Many needy families in Elkhart are grateful this holiday season.
That's because they received gifts through the Salvation Army's Adopt-a-family program.
Over 800 families signed up for this year's drive.
Gifts included clothes, toys and even a Christmas tree.
Organizers say the entire program has brought a lot of joy to the community.
"Its a fun day they get to see gifts that are wrapped, toys and its just a great warm feeling and its a good day," says Steven Woodard of the Salvation Army.
One contributor even donated a set of bikes for an entire family.
