UPDATE: Early morning fire destroys South Bend motel

A motel on South Bend's Westside has been destroyed.

Dispatchers tell FOX 28 the Lincolnwood Motel on the 3300 block of Lincolnway West caught fire at 4:07 Monday morning. Crews do have that fire put out and are investigating the scene.

No injuries have been reported. Everyone who was staying at the motel was evacuated to a safe place nearby. There were three cars in the parking lot when the fire broke out. Investigators are still trying to find out a cause.

Parts of Lincolnway West were shut down for several hours on Monday. The road reopened to traffic shortly after 10:00am.
