Organizers that put together Elkhart's 10-day Winterfest event are saying the event did a lot of good for communities in the area.
In a press release, Santa's Pantry called Winterfest "a huge success." The organization raised more than one ton of food for local food pantries along with 200 clothing items, 103 toys, 150 personal care items and cash donations.
Santa's Pantry gets help organizing the event from Elkhart Central High School's National Honor Society. They say they'll start planning the 2013 Winterfest pretty soon.
