The Food Bank was in Elkhart Tuesday helping out the less fortunate.
The bank was set up for two hours and had 300 people waiting in line when it started.
After showing their ID folks were free to pick from a variety of items such as bread, potatos and bananas.
Organizers say they've seen an increase in the number of people lately.
"We do see the numbers increase especially in new faces cause with most people this might be a time when they get laid off from a job or they are just falling on some rough times," says Amanda Peterson of Food bank of Northern Indiana.
The food bank's next stop will be this Friday in Laporte.
