Experts say to try to limit hand shakes and contact with others.
Use those santizing wipes some stores offer to wipe off the carts.
Carry hand sanitizer and use it.
And it's not to late to get in on the most effective way to avoid it or lessen it's effects.
"Best thing is to get your flu shot," said Infection Prevention Elkhart General's Registered Nurse Penni Himes. "There's a really good match this year, so it's very good to get your flu shot this year. The other thing, wash your hands."
It is not to late to get a flu shot.
The flu is respiratory... and the signs include fever over 104 plus one of these additional symptoms including body ache, sore throat or congestion.
