Voelker to replace McClure on Mishawaka Council

Saint Joseph County Republicans selected Kate Voelker during a caucus Thursday to replace Marsha McClure on the Mishawaka City Council.

McClure was elected to the Saint Joseph County Board of Commissioners in November's election.

Seven candidates were seeking McClure's Fourth District council seat. Voelker was selected by the eight Republican Precinct Committeemen after 10 ballots.

Voelker is the Executive Director of RiverBend Cancer Services. She will be sworn in on January 1.
