Elkhart County Sheriff's Department deputies want to thank the public for their help in finding a vehicle linked to a murder scene. And those tips eventually led to an arrest.
The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department was called to a home in the 54600-block of Michael Drive in Elkhart Friday to investigate the death of 76-year-old Norma Hopper.
Autopsy results Saturday rule the death a homicide, though details about Hopper's death aren't being released.
The Sheriff's Department was looking for a blue 1998 Chevy Lumina sedan missing from the home. It has an Indiana "In God We Trust" license plate of SPV314.
The vehicle was found Sunday and a person was arrested for the murder later on that day. Right now the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department is not revealing who that suspect is.
