A South Bend church will be holding a free Christmas dinner for those less fortunate. The dinner will be Sunday at 5 p.m. at David's House on Eldora Street. Church members are planning on feeding 400 people. They'll be serving up ham, turkey, dressings, sides and desserts. Pastor Mark Johnson said his congregation wants to extend a helping hand, "There was a man in a cardboard box in town. That's why we're doing this. He had nowhere to stay, nothing to eat and we're going to start reaching out."
They're also looking for donations of gloves, hats and blankets so they can give them as gifts.
