While Michiana isn't expected to see the blizzard conditions parts of central and southern Indiana are seeing, we will see some snow.
Snow was falling across much of the area by mid-Wednesday morning, making roads slick.
INDOT reported difficult driving conditions across much of the southern portions of Michiana and into Saint Joseph County. INDOT's LaPorte District says they have dozens of plows out on area roads to deal with the snow.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Department says their county was getting light blowing snow, decreasing visibilities. The department says all county and state roads in that area are ice covered and slick.
Flights at South Bend Regional Airport are still operating. A check of the airport's arrivals and departures pages showed several delayed flights, but no cancellations as of 3:45 p.m. Airports in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis have seen several cancellations due to the snow.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for Fulton, Kosciusko, Elkhart and LaGrange Counties. FOX28 Meteorologist Courtney Jorgensen expects 2-5" of snow in those areas by late tonight.
