The College Football Hall of Fame will offer $2 admission
for its final weekend in South Bend.
Saturday and Sunday are the final days the Hall of Fame will
be open in South Bend before it closes and prepares to move to Atlanta.
The Hall of Fame says all proceeds from the final two days,
including sales at the gift shop, will be donated to the football programs at
Adams, Clay, Riley, Saint Joseph and Washington High Schools
in South Bend.
"South Bend been a
wonderful showcase for the National Football Foundation and our mission for the
past 18 years," said NFF President
Steve Hatchell in a release. "We have had a great working relationship
with the people of South Bend
and its elected officials. We are grateful for their support, and on behalf of
the NFF Board we would like to thank them. We also want to extend a big thank
you to all of the volunteers and the staff who made invaluable contributions at
the Hall."
The Hall will be
open from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The Hall of Fame is
expected to open its new home in Atlanta
in September of 2014.
