A Milford toddler and her father were seriously injured when their buggy collided with a car near Nappanee.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department says, 51 year old Arlen Lehman was pulling out of the driveway in his buggy on County Road 1350.
That's when the horse trotted into the road and into the path of 23 year old Jodi Kauffman's car.
Kauffman told police she tried to stop, but slid into the side of the passenger carriage, causing it to roll on its side.
Arlen Lehman, and his 4-year-old daughter Ranae, were airlifted to South Bend Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
Lehman's wife and two other children were also in the buggy, but weren't hurt.
Kauffman was also not injured.
