Special teams and specifically field goals have been some what of a weakness in recent years, but Kyle Brindza has been a bright spot for the Irish this season.
Brindza has been responsible for 95 points with an average of 7.5 per game. Although he's missed 8 field goals, he's made 23, breaking the single-season school record, previously held by John Carney since the 1986 season. Brindza has made 96-percent of his extra points.
Coach Brian Kelly needs a guy like Brindza on his team.
