Many folks are heading into the New Years in a unique way, on the ski and snowboarding slopes.
Swiss Valley has it's slopes open until 1 am New Years Eve night. Families are invited to ski and snowboard, eat and enjoy the live bands. At midnight, around a hundred skiers will take torches down the slopes for a parade.
"I'll be out until about 9 and then I'll probably go in and get some hot chocolate and relax until the show," says snowboarder John Jessup.
"It's fun to ski when it's almost midnight and watch the parade and stuff and dance with the DJ," says snowboarder Amanda Stanley.
Manager Jim Wiseman says they expect over 1,000 visitors.
