One spot on the Elkhart City Council is vacant following Kyle Hannon's resignation. So now the Chairman of the Republican Committee of Elkhart County is looking for a replacement.
Precinct committeemen will meet Thursday night at 7:00 at the Time Was Museum on North Main Street to decide who that new committee member will be.
People who want to throw their name in the hat at this point are out of luck, because candidates applying for the at-large position needed to declare candidacy at least 72 hours before the caucus.
