A third child has died from the flu in Michigan.
The child was just six years old and lived in the Southwest part of the state.
The Michigan Department of Community Health has already confirmed that an infant and an adolescent died from the flu earlier in the season.
Doctors say the most important thing parents can do is make sure their kids get a flu shot.
"Make sure they all get immunized so that we have that herd immunity and they're not passing it back and forth, make sure they know the hygiene things, if your gonna cough, cough in the crook of your arms not in your hands all the time, using keyboards, clean the keyboards off," says Dr. Elek a local family physician.
Since December 20, 252 cases of the flu have been confirmed in Michigan.
