The Lerner Theatre in downtown Elkhart was showing the game on their big screen for free.
They also offered affordable tailgating food.
The theater and tailgate were packed with people wearing green and gold and some other surprises.
"We've got a lot of Notre Dame fans, we've also got a few brave Alabama fans who have made their way in to enjoy the tailgate as well," said Lerner Theatre Administrative Assistant Ranee Robinson. "I thought we'd have a really good turnout and its nice to see the public come out and enjoy such a big game with so many of their community members."
