Bank of America customers in Michiana may notice some changes at their local branch later this year.
Old National Bank announced Wednesday that it will be acquiring 24 Bank of America branches in northern Indiana and southwest Michigan. The deal includes $778.8 million in deposits and $7.7 million in loan balances.
According to a release, Old National says the deal would double the number of their branches in northern Indiana and mark their first entry into Michigan. Old National entered the northern Indiana market when it acquired St. Joseph Capital Corporation in 2007.
The deal is still subject to approval by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Old National says they expect to close the deal in the 3rd quarter of this year.
Old National says no job losses are expected.
