Colder temperatures mean your car may require more maintenance.
Car technicians say the cold can cause your battery to lose energy.
They recommend that you check it regularly and look for any corrosion or looseness.
They also say that tires are affected by the winter weather.
"Now the best tire in the winter time is gonna be a snow tire, but when you buy snow tires you can only drive those during the winter time, if you can't afford two sets of tires, one for the winter, one for the summer, you just wanna make sure you get a good all-season tire with good tread pattern," says Chris Chojnacki of Bittersweet Auto Repair.
Technicians also say the air pressure in tires needs to be checked more often during winter.
