The University of Notre Dame announced that former All-American Mirko Jurkovic has passed away.
Jurkovic was pronounced dead just before 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Saint Joe Regional Hospital.
Jurkovic has provided analysis for the Irish on both their radio pre-game and post-game shows. Before that he was a key member of the Notre Dame offensive line when they won the National Championship in 1988.
Jurkovic had been battling cancer for quite some time now. He was only 42 years old.
