Liquid nitrogen leak cause road closures in Berrien County

Drivers were dealing with some closures and delays in Benton Township this morning. A stretch of I-94 and a few nearby roads in Berrien County were closed as crews responded to a morning traffic accident.

A truck carrying liquid nitrogen crashed on I-94. The driver was not injured, but the accident did cause a leak. The leaking liquid nitrogen led to whiteout conditions in the area. Crews decided to close the road to protect driver safety.
