Local dentists will be giving children free exams in the Month of February.
It's all part of National Give Kids a Smile Day.
The initiative is directed at under privileged children and giving them dental care that they would otherwise not receive.
Dentists say its important to teach kids the importance of oral health early on.
"With the diets and what kids are eating these days, and the fact that they're not really starting at a really early age, getting to the dentist as they use to," says Dr. Roger Pecina of Afdent Dental.
In addition to exams, children will also receive cleanings and x-rays all free of charge.
