A change is coming to the South Bend School Board.
President Roger Parent is not running for President again.
Parent has held this position for the past two years.
He will still stay on as a board member since he's just been re-elected for the next four years.
He spoke about why he's giving up the position.
"I chose not to seek re-election to be President or any other officer because it takes quite a bit of time and I want to spend much more time on looking at stuff that as President is difficult for me to do," said South Bend Schools President Roger Parent.
Some of the things Parent wants to focus on is listening to students.
He wants to know what their thoughts are about the current school system.
