Notre Dame's Loyd named Big East player of the week

Notre Dame's Jewell Loyd has been named the Big East Freshman of the week for the third time this season.
 Loyd averaged 16 points and 9 rebounds last week to help 2nd ranked Notre Dame extend its winning streak to nine games with victories over South Florida and Rutgers.
 She is the Irish first three-time recipient of the honor, since Skylar Diggins did it four times during the 2009-10 season.
