A man was injured in a fire in South Bend that closed a road and called for several crews.
It happened in an abandoned building in the 600 hundred block of South Saint Joseph Street.
Crews say there weren't any flames, just a lot of smoke.
The fire chief says a man was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, but he's not sure why he was in the building in the first place since it was abandoned.
Investigators are trying to figure out how it started.
South Street was closed while crews worked.
