House badly damaged in chimney fire

As the weather gets colder this week, a tip from the fire department to make sure to have your chimneys inspected.

A home in the 56,000 block of Crescent was badly damaged in a fire.

The Penn Township fire department says it appears the fire started in the fireplace because of a creosote buildup.

Fortunately the fire department says everyone got out of the house safely.
