Dowagiac police say a driver led them on a chase and then crashed into a house late Saturday night.
Police say it started on East Prairie Ronde Street near Mcomber Street.
An officer tried to pull the driver over for speeding, but the driver took off.
Police say the driver was going too fast and lost control and crashed into a house.
The driver then ran away, but was caught.
Police say the 20 year old Dowagiac resident was taken to the hospital, then jail, and faces several charges including, Fleeing
and Eluding, Resisting and Obstructing Police, Leaving the Scene of
a Property Damage Accident, and Driving with No Driver License.
The
drivers name is withheld pending his arraignment in Cass County 4th District
Court.
