A local church is taking new years resolutions to the next level. New Beginnings Church in South Bend is holding its own Biggest Loser competition. But this one is not just about weight. For the next year congregation members will work to shed extra pounds, become more financially stable, and just fix whatever they may be struggling with. Competition Participant Brandon Roth said, "I'm participating cause I'm a little overweight and everybody could use help financially."
South Bend Medical Foundation has teamed up with the church to do weigh ins and a blood drive every three months during the competition.
