During the ceremony, the Democratic Party of Elkhart County held a lunch party.
The were celebrating both the inauguration and Martin Luther King day.
People from Elkhart County were invited no matter their political affiliation.
The only thing participants were asked to bring--a dish to share with others.
"This moment in time is that we're celebrating a great man who we've picked as a leader," said supervisor Dwight Fish. "Who has proven himself time and time again. That its not just him its the way he leads and the things he's asking of us as citizens to do."
Some of those in attendance worked on the president's past campaigns.
