Weather may have played a role in an early morning crash that sent an Elkhart man to the hospital Tuesday morning. It happened at the corner of County Road 20 and County Road 9 in Concord Township around 4:24.
Police say 29-year-old Casey Gose was driving his car when he noticed an SUV had crossed the centerline. He told officers he slowed down but could not prevent a head-on collision.
Gose was taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. According to a press release he complained of shoulder pain.
As for the driver of the SUV, 38-year-old Luis Vargas of Goshen, he was cited for left of center and driving under a suspended license. We're told he had one passenger with him. Neither person was reported injured in the crash.
