Local food growers are making their pitch to a new company coming to town. Whole Foods Market is planning to open in Mishawaka on April 10, but before they do they need local produce to sell.
"As a mission-based company, Whole Foods Market believes in supporting local farmers, producers and artisans by buying locally," said Stefanie Garcia with Whole Foods. "There are so many great products available right here in Indiana and Southern Michigan and we greatly look forward to learning about them and working with their creators to potentially carry them in our store."
Producers from Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan met at the Courtyard in Mishawaka to show off their products to Whole Foods.
