College Football Hall of Fame sign removed

The large sign that greeted people to the College Football Hall of Fame in downtown South Bend is gone.

Crews took down the sign and loaded it onto a trailer Friday morning.

The College Football Hall of Fame welcomed its final visitors on December 30 after 18 years in South Bend.

The National Football Foundation says they will break ground on a new home of the Hall Monday in Atlanta, Georgia. The new museum is expected to open in September of 2014.
