Buchanan is competing in the Michigan High School Athletic Association's "Battle of the Fans" and have made the top 5 in the state... so far.
The Bucks fans call themselves "The Herd." Earlier this season, they submitted a tape and Thursday, the MHSAA is sending a crew to judge "The Herd" during the Buchanan vs Cassopolis game.
They have a flair for the creative. Thursday, the theme is "Mean Stinks" as part of the school's anti-bullying campaign.
Buchanan junior, AJ Reed says that he likes it when "regular" people come to games and tell them they end up watching the fans instead of the game.
