Crews are investigating the cause of fire that broke out in the O'Laughlin Auditorium at Saint Mary's College Sunday night.
The fire broke out around 11:00pm on Sunday. The curtains of the stage caught fire. Security personnel were able to keep the fire contained with fire extinguishers until firefighters arrived on the scene.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
The program "An Evening with Audra McDonald" was to be held in O'Laughlin at 7:30 p.m. tonight. Due to smoke in the building, the event will be held at the same time but at a different location on campus. The location will be posted at saintmarys.edu and the College will let the media know as well.
Classes in Moreau Hall, which is connected to O'Laughlin, are cancelled Monday.
