Hannah's House, a local charity housing approximately 35 women and babies a year, has begun expanding to a second location. The house is a Catholic outreach program for pregnant women in need to find support during their pregnancy.
The second location is located across the street at 505 west fourth street in Mishawaka. The second location will house an additional 20 women a year. In 2011 Hannah's House had to turn away approximately 80 women because they did not have room.
Executive Director, Bill Killilea, says having the two locations so close makes things convenient. "We are able to consolidate programing with the house being right across the street, so that means we don't have to totally duplicate every service," said Killilea.
This is the 20th anniversary of Hannah's House. They are planning on dedicating the new house on May 10th.
