Your smile is one of the first things someone notices about you. And some Michiana kids had a big reason to smile Friday.
It was "Give Kids A Smile" day. And some area dentists donated time and resources to help kids. Dr. Roger Pecina's Afdent office in Mishawaka was one of many that offered free cleanings and exams all day for kids who qualified.
Nicci Hurcomb, an associate dentist of Afdent says, "I feel it's important to give back to the kids or the community. As well as Dr. Pecina feels that's something we an do for the kids that are under served, that probably wouldn't get a normal cleaning."
Give Kids a Smile Day is a nationwide program.
