Trial for mother of children who died in car trunk continues

The trial continues for a New Carlisle woman accused of neglect. The children of 25-year-old Jacqueline Wilk died in June of 2011 after getting locked in a car trunk.

Wilk was charged with two counts of Neglect of a Dependent in May of last year. The trial began on Monday.

The prosecution called four witnesses Tuesday morning, including two police officers and two relatives. The court reporter who spoke to FOX28 News said the prosecution has more witnesses to call, but they are expecting the trial to conclude Wednesday.

The defense gave some indication during the trial that they may call Wilk to the stand.
