A Notre Dame hockey player is under arrest after an incident at a bar in South Bend.
Junior Jared Beers reportedly was involved in an incident with an employee at Brothers Bar and Grill on Eddy Street. Police say Beers refused to leave when asked and attacked a woman that works at the restaurant.
In reports filed with St. Joseph County Courts, Beers is also accused of resisting arrest.
Notre Dame Spokesman Dennis Brown released a statement on the student's arrest. "The University is aware of this incident and is confident that it will be handled in a prompt and professional manner through the criminal justice system," said Brown.
The university says Beers has been "suspended indefinitely" following the arrest.
