The Food Bank of Northern Indiana received a big donation today from a business that deals in coins.
Kenneth G Rare Coins presented a check, not coins, worth one thousand dollars to the organization.
The business collected donations for the "Meals for Michiana" campaign for three months.
The money was collected at store locations as well as on the food bank's website.
"Excellent gift," said the Food Bank of Northern Indiana's Executive Director Milt Lee. "You know every single dollar goes so far in terms of the buying power we have for all the clients we serve in Saint Joe County and all the other five counties."
The food bank will use this money to buy healthy foods such as meats, fruits and veggies and fresh bread.
