Bethel College is hosting a community blood drive Thursday, from 10:45am to 4:00pm in Goodman Gymnasium located inside the Wiekamp Athletic Center. The blood drive, coordinated by Bethel athletes, expects 95 students and faculty to donate.
"Every person who gives blood saves three lives," says James Agler, one of the organizers. If that is not enough motivation to give, he says "anyone who gives blood in this blood drive, is signed up to win Sweet 16 [basketball] tickets in Indianapolis."
Bethel hosts four blood drives a school year. The next blood drive is scheduled for April. Walk-ins and community members are welcome; just bring a form of identification. For more information on other blood drives in the area, visit the regional Red Cross webpage by clicking here.
