With all the snow and rain we've been having, it can be hard to think about spring. May is closer than you think, though, and for some people that means getting out the bike.
Early registration is already underway for the 2013 "Bike the Bend." It's a family friendly, non-competitive ride for fun on Sunday, May 19th. Streets are blocked off throughout South Bend, Mishawaka and St. Joseph County for the ride.
Until midnight April 1, early registration is $27 for one adult. Up to three children, ages 17 and under, ride free when registered with an adult. Early registration includes a ride T-shirt, wristband and rider map.
Between April 2 and May 1, registration is $32 for one adult. Children still ride free when registered with an adult. Registration includes a ride T-shirt, wristband, and map.
After May 1, registration fees are the same, but ride T-shirts may not be available.
Packet pickup is scheduled for May 18-19 in South Bend.
Special hotel rates and collectible shirts are available. You can find that information on the "Bike the Bent" website.
