Adams freshman- Nick Klebusits won the semi-state bowling championship Saturday and is now the only local boy advancing to the state finals Saturday in Lafayette. The tournament started with 3500 bowlers, now the top 24 will compete in the finals.
Nick qualified 13th out of 14 bowlers coming out of regionals but he felt he wasn't reaching his potential and never stopped believing. In the finals he started out with 8 straight strikes and beat the number-one seed to win the semi-state crown.
Klebusits said, "It's jaw dropping, it still hasn't hit me."
