Kathleen Holt (Courtesy Starke County Sheriff's Dept.)A Knox woman is in custody after police say she shot and killed her boyfriend. The Starke County Sheriff's Department says they were called by a woman who told them "she had just shot her boyfriend."
When they arrived at the home, on the 500 block of County Rd. 200 South, a man with a gunshot wound to the chest in the home. the man, identified as 46-year-old Ron Worker, was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
Authorities also found 51-year-old Kathleen Holt inside the home, along with a gun they believe was used in the shooting.
Holt is currently being held in the Starke County jail on a preliminary Murder charge. She has not yet been arraigned. An autopsy for Worker was scheduled for Thursday, but results have not yet been released.
Police are continuing to investigate.
