Starke County woman accused of shooting boyfriend

A Knox woman is in custody after police say she shot and killed her boyfriend.  The Starke County Sheriff's Department says they were called by a woman who told them "she had just shot her boyfriend."

When they arrived at the home, on the 500 block of County Rd. 200 South, a man with a gunshot wound to the chest in the home.  the man, identified as 46-year-old Ron Worker, was taken to an area hospital where he later died.

Authorities also found 51-year-old Kathleen Holt inside the home, along with a gun they believe was used in the shooting.

Holt is currently being held in the Starke County jail on a preliminary Murder charge.  She has not yet been arraigned.  An autopsy for Worker was scheduled for Thursday, but results have not yet been released.

Police are continuing to investigate.
