American Airlines and US Airways have agreed to merge, creating the world's biggest airline. And at South Bend Regional airport, they say you WILL see the impact.
With less airlines across the country, prices will most likely go up on your flights, but with the possibility of these airlines coming to South Bend the news isn't all bad.
"We would like to have them become a tenant here and have them fly from here to destinations that make sense for American or US Airways once they're merged so we're going to keep working on it," says Mike Daigle, executive director at SB Regional Airport.
He says this partnership would give the South Bend community more options when choosing airlines and destinations.
