A local dentist is helping put smiles on the face of children.
Mahoney Family Dentistry participated in National Give Kids a Smile Day which helps underprivileged children get free dental care.
Over 50 local children were treated today receiving everything from x-rays, fillings and cleanings, all free of charge.
Dentists say oral health is important for everyone especially children.
"If we can start early and get them educated early on it'll make for more successful home care and dental treatment in the future," says Dr. Dan Klauer.
Local dental students were also on hand to help educate kids on taking care of their teeth.
