It was a walk back in time for visitors at the Ruthmere Mansion in Elkhart. Sunday is the season three finale to a popular television show Downton Abbey.
The mansion is set in the same time period as the show, which made for the perfect location for afternoon tea.
There were guest speakers who discussed the mannerisms and customs of the 1920s and plenty of treats that took the guests back in time.
"Many folks are really excited about this series and they wanted to see how they could experience it themselves. So the public is invited to dress the part if they want to and dress as their favorite Downton Abbey character if they want to take it that far," says Bill Firstenberger, Ruthmere Mansion Executive Director.
He says the response was so large that they had two tea sessions.
