We are learning more details about the South Bend prostitution sting that happened over the weekend.
Police say prostitution isn't new to South Bend, but this was the first successful operation they've uncovered online. They have never tried to go at a web site like they did with this most recent one and they fear social media could be the new trend in prostitution.
"I think it's growing nationally. It makes it a lot more easy, a lot more clinical to do this you don't have to stand out on a street corner anymore, you don't have to drive up in a vehicle and perhaps misidentify a female or whoever you're looking for. This makes it a very simple business," says South Bend Police Department PIO, Phil Trent.
He says they want people to know the investigation is still underway and police are keeping a close eye on these web sites.
